What is the "SEND Information Report"?
The Children and Families Bill came into force in March 2014. From this date, Local Authorities and schools are required to publish and keep under review information about services they expect to be available for the 0-25s. This is called the "Local Offer".
Devon County Council has taken a multi-agency approach in supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). The means new ways of working were schools, care workers and the National Health Service work together to provide for a SEND child.

SEND and SEND Information Report (SIR)
Culmstock Primary School together with Devon County Council are committed to ensuring that all children and young people have a good start in life. Some children and young people have Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) and these needs mean a child may require additional support at certain times during their life.
Culmstock Primary School is committed to providing an appropriate and high quality education to all the children living in our local area. We believe that all children, including those identified as having a special educational need or a disability (SEND) have a common entitlement to a broad and balanced academic and social curiculum, which is accessible to them, and to be fully included in all aspects of school.
This section of our website seeks to provide information about our local offer and links to other sources of information.
