Freedom of Information Act 2000
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 confers a general right for any person to access information which is held by a public authority (subject to certain exclusions).
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, schools must adopt the following model publication scheme which has been approved by the Information Commissioner.
Schools must also publish a guide to information that accompanies the publication scheme.
This guide specifies:
- documents available
- the format of those documents
- any charges made for the information.
